Barry co-founded Corbett Keeling with Jim Keeling 30 years ago, forging a lifelong friendship. In 1996, keen to take on the challenge of running a more established business, he left the firm to lead the management buy-in of Blockfoil – the first step in a successful entrepreneurial journey.
Since then, Barry has built, acquired, invested in and sold businesses, primarily in the packaging and security sectors. Along the way, he has held leadership roles as Chairman, CEO and non-executive director, gaining first-hand insight into the challenges and opportunities faced by business owners. He began his career at KPMG, training as a chartered accountant before specialising in business turnarounds, and later spent a period as a fund manager at Cazenove.
Now, Barry has come full circle, bringing his deep knowledge back to Corbett Keeling. He works closely with entrepreneurs considering a sale, helping them navigate the complexities of the process to achieve the optimal mix of cash proceeds, chemistry with buyers and certainty of transaction completion. He is also responsible for building relationships with buyers and sellers, ensuring a clear understanding of their objectives and how Corbett Keeling can support them.
Beyond business, Barry is an avid walker and recently completed the Camino de Santiago, the historic pilgrimage across Spain. He is also an enthusiastic hockey player.
